Currenly

Hello there new and exciting world of 2017. I thought it was about time I updated this little corner of the internet. So here is what i've been up to and what is occupying my mind now.

Reading
In 2015 I read 34 different books and I loved it. Then we settled down and stopped travelling. Reading got much harder to find time to do. So I'm not currently reading anything right now, but Cecelia Ahern has just realised a new book and I've read everything else she has written so I'm going to try and get my hands on that. In the meantime I'm reading take away menu's and trying not to order anything from them.

Big Band EraListening
After Christmas I always find it hard to give up all the glamour and glitz. So on my playlist right now is endless Ella Fitzgerald and Nat King Cole. I'm an addict.

Eating
The way I've learnt to budget and eat has changed a lot of things in my life. The Mr introduced me to the idea of pre-making all of my meal. It has saved endless time and is fantastic for my wallet. At the moment my freezer boxes are filled with homemade veg lasagne and chicken stir frys.
I finally got around to trying Acai berries, which are all the rage here in Aus. They are considered one of the healthiest things you can eat, so obviously I was expecting them to taste like shoe polish. In fact they are fantastic. I'm going to try and find a way to work them into my daily meals. Finally i've fallen for a food that doesn't make the gym angry at me.

Drinking
The Mr has started home brewing and it's delicious. I'm not a beer drinker but he's got some special skills. My favourite tipple is still fizzy bubbles or anything with gin in . In fact , since it's Friday I may have to sample some prosecco right now...you know...just to check if I still like it.

Watching
Always Sunny In Philledalphia is back. Woohoo!!!! I love that show and I can't wait to get back into it. I'm still trying something to fill the void of Westworld so if you know of any new sci-fi fuelled tv shows for me, let me know. I also watched The BFG last night. It was filled with charm and wonder. If i'd been a kid when i'd seen it I would have loved every moment. I'd recommend it for all of you Roald Dahl fans...or anyone who secretly believes in magical moments.
Doing
I'm getting ready to return to work after two weeks off. Boo!!! Luckily I love my job as an animator so it's not a problem. It has been wonderful to wake up every day when  I want and to spend lots of time at home. We have a busy few weeks ahead of us with a house move, people visiting and some travel so I'm trying to relax as much as possible now.
Thinking
I have been so happy lately. I know that isn't fancy or cool to admit. But I really have. I was so worried about having a Christmas away from my family and I missed them with every atom, but I loved every second of this Christmas. Christmas is a weird time of year because it holds so much of the past in one day. What I realised this year was that no matter where I am , on that day the only people I think about are the people I love the most so in a way , they are there. I'm also thinking about my weight , which is higher than ever. I've working out and going to the gym to get to a place i'm happier with. So I bought a ton of clothes to  inspire me. Now all I'm thinking about on the cross trainer is those beautiful Collectif dresses that are on there way to me.

Looking forward to
Moving house. This is a bitter sweet thing because I LOVE our current place, but we've lost our view in our apartment and I'm so sick of building noise. I CANT WAIT for a new location with space and also a new year full of resolutions like:
. being debt free
. dancing more
. getting in shape
. being more creative (hence the fact I'm writing on here)
. Saving to GO HOME. The capital letters are needed because I miss so many people. I can't wait to see them, hug them and force them to go out and dance with me.

Every year is exciting to me. It always holds the key to so much potential. I can't wait enjoy every moment of 2017.
